Molds wear out by shot count, not by date.
A mold has a life in shots, not in years, and it has parts that break one at a time. Tools & Fixtures takes the shot count straight from Production, so remaining life is a live number and a tool past its service count flags itself. One damaged cavity of sixteen is blocked and the counter carries on against the corrected cavity count. A mold out at the toolmaker leaves the ready pool, so the planner learns before the work order is released, not after. In-process and SPC (statistical process control) charts the dimension while the parts are still good, and Maintenance keeps the press itself on planned work.
We have built automation, embedded systems and machine integration for plants like this since 2015, so the presses and the tool room are familiar ground. Be clear on what this is: the modules fit an injection plant well, and our platform deployments are concentrated in the regulated industries above. An injection molder would be an early platform customer, working close to the team that builds it.

Nobody turns on every module at once. This is the usual first set. A module that is not built yet carries its status on the card.
The rules you work under
Injection molders generally hold ISO 9001, with IATF 16949 for automotive work; food-contact parts add EU regulation 10/2011 and the GMP (good manufacturing practice) rules of EC 2023/2006. Phasis records the process readings, the tool history and the gauge status behind those checks.
