Shifts & Labor plans which line runs which shift, on which day, with how many people. It then sits beside what really happened, so the planned crew and window are next to the actual crew and window.
The clock times and the plant calendar come from the shared plant model, so a holiday drops out when the week is published. The planner sets the standing rules and publishes the week, and publishing is versioned so everyone knows which plan they are reading. Unpublishing opens the future only. A shift that already ran is frozen. A 14-day matrix colors every cell covered, short or uncovered, so a hole in the roster shows before the morning it hurts.
This is the time base for the rest of the plant. Production runs the shift and records the real headcount. HSE, the health, safety and environment module, can take its hours from the published plan rather than an estimate.
