Track molds and dies that wear out by count, not by date.

This is production tooling: molds, dies, punches, change parts and jigs. A tool is not a machine. It is needed to make one product at one step. It dies by count rather than by calendar, because a mold has a life of 500,000 shots and not five years. Its parts can be replaced one at a time, and it travels between a press, the crib and the toolmaker.

The tool room registers a tool from its type, and life, service interval and cavity count prefill. A setter mounts it on a machine and records the real setup minutes, then the teardown minutes on dismount. Production output feeds a usage ledger, so remaining life is a live number rather than a wall chart. A tool past its service count flags itself. One broken cavity of sixteen is blocked instead of taking the whole tool out of the run, and the counter is snapshotted so later usage counts against the corrected number. A tool issued from the crib to a named worker cannot be mounted until it is back.

Scheduling shows a readiness banner on the work order, so the planner learns the mold is at the vendor before releasing the job. The check is advice. It does not lock the plan by itself.
