Capacity Planning

See which lines will be overloaded next month, before you promise the volume.

Capacity Planning sets next month's demand against the hours the plant actually has. A line that will be overloaded shows red weeks before the work arrives, while there is still time to move it or change the promise.

This is the medium-term view. Scheduling is the week; this is the quarter. It answers whether the hours are there, not which job runs at 09:15. The planner moves a product to another qualified line, or into another week, and the load changes at once. A what-if is a saved picture, say peak season with extra weekend hours. It does not touch the live plan until the planner chooses.

Publish sends the confirmed near weeks to Scheduling as queued work orders. They arrive in the unscheduled pool and the planner still places them on the Gantt.
