Traceability

A supplier lot goes bad. Nobody can say what it already became.

A recall is a search through paper, the ERP and memory. A bad supplier lot is found and nobody knows what it has already become. Phasis names the lots, and consuming a held lot is refused.

Production already records what was made and what was used. The operator opens and closes a produced lot and stages the lots the line will consume. The goods-in clerk registers a supplier lot. The quality manager runs the trace and puts a lot on hold.

The design is complete and we can walk you through it. It stops at the plant gate. It is not the electronic batch record.
