Spare Parts
Stock the parts the maintenance team needs.
This is the maintenance storeroom. A catalog of parts, bins in one or more storerooms, and a ledger of every receipt, issue, return and transfer. It is not production stock. It holds no raw material, no packaging and no finished goods, and it carries no money figure. The module tracks quantity, not value.
The storeman receives into a bin and issues to the technician. The planner reserves parts against a maintenance job, by hand or from a kit that a repeat service carries. The technician sees what is reserved and where it sits before walking to the shelf. Parts that spoil, seals and lubricants, carry a lot and an expiry. Picking takes the first to expire, and an expired part that touches product is refused outright. A cycle count that is off by more than the threshold needs a second person before it posts. A gearbox or another rebuildable unit goes out for repair and comes back with its own history.
The storeroom reads the same assets and the same jobs as Maintenance, so the two stay in step without a second system to reconcile.
